Jocelyn grew up in a Chinese Catholic family; Devanshu in a Hindu Punjabi one. Our wedding brings both worlds together — a church ceremony and a tea ceremony, a sangeet and seven pheras around the sacred fire — over one unforgettable June weekend.

Our wedding spans several days of ceremonies from both families' traditions. Your invitation will note which events you're invited to — we can't wait to celebrate with you!

A pandit-led ceremony of about two hours, completed by the seven pheras around the sacred fire. Lunch follows for all guests. Indian attire is lovely but not required — Western formal is always welcome.

Dinner, toasts, and a dance floor mixing Bollywood, Punjabi, English — and maybe a little Cantopop. Dress to impress.
Many of our guests will be experiencing some of these ceremonies for the first time. Here's what each one means to us.
The bride's family formally invites the groom's family to the wedding with a written letter and sweets — a tradition of two families joining hands.
A ceremony of prayers, blessings, and the exchange of vows and rings, held at Jocelyn's family parish.
The couple kneels to serve tea to parents and elders, receiving blessings and red envelopes in return — welcoming each into the other's family.
An evening of henna, music, and dance. Dhol players lead boli songs calling out family members to dance, and guests take turns balancing the lit Jago pot.
Close family applies turmeric paste to bless the couple with glowing skin and good fortune — equal parts sacred and playful.
